Ten days post travel

I return to find out a 504 plan needs completed in the morning for FCAT accommodations and the kids need new glasses, a Doctors appointment while away now needs a specialist follow up... and the laundry..... Welcome home!

The kids were happy, the house standing, so a successful sitter!!! Love that oldest daughter of mine.

The week has been challenging to get back into routine. I have a huge event coming up April 6th in our community for the Down syndrome group I run and a trip to Tallahassee for Developmental Disabilities Day March 17th and 18th.

Max has been home with his new family spending quiet quality time with just the family. I hope to introduce him to my group soon.

Deanie returned to sick children and then she got laryngitis. We plan to spend time this coming week together.

Last night I went out and ran across a woman from the Ukraine. She was interested in our trip experience and we spent a great deal of time talking about Russia and the children. It is very interesting to me to hear the point of view from prior Putin to now. She also smiled a lot and I commented on that. She said it took her about 2 years here to understand happiness and smiling. She has been in our community 4 years. We exchanged numbers and will keep in touch. She really seems interested in the journey of adoption of special needs children. She has her 14 year old son here with her. She married an American man who was stationed in Ukraine for employment.
